Description

Description

The Megaptera model is THE kitchen knife recommended for those wishing to invest in a blade combining ergonomics, cutting efficiency and aesthetics. It stands out from most models by the shape and volumes of its handle, designed to best accommodate the hand of its user. Its gentle slope towards the blade promotes a pleasant and controlled grip. The geometry of its sharpening lightens it considerably and allows for better distribution of the knife's balance. The groove hollowed out in the blade, in addition to having an aesthetic function reminiscent of waves, facilitates the detachment of cut foods, and reduces the contact surface with the blade, allowing for easy slicing. The Megaptera is an improved version - after 2 years of use - of the Balein'O model, which won the first prize in the 2022 competition of the "Salon du Couteau et des Arts de la Table" in Lyon.

Maintenance Tips

Like all artisanal knives, it should be hand washed only, and it is recommended to wipe it immediately after washing. Its materials are not especially sensitive to rust, but prolonged exposure to water is never desirable, rust spots may still appear.
Even just to get into good habits, clean it with care, wipe it with care, and it will reward you well ;-)
