The word of the craftsman
My name is Gabriel, and my journey has always been guided by curiosity and the desire to understand how things work. As a child, I would dismantle everything I could. This desire to explore the insides of objects, to touch, to feel, and to see in order to understand, has always driven me. I initially pursued studies in architecture, drawn to drawing and design, but I quickly realized that I needed to work with materials using my hands. This is how I turned towards knifemaking.
My apprenticeship was enriched by wonderful encounters, and I had the chance to learn alongside David Lespect, an experienced knifemaker, who introduced me to the mechanics of the liner lock and the attention to detail. Today, I dedicate most of my time to creating unique folding knives, forging some blades from Damascus steel or working others cold. For me, each knife is a new exploration, a search for the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.
